Corona Measures

Dear members,

Tuesday evening Prime Minister Mark Rutte, together with Minister Hugo de Jonge, has announced new corona measures. All amateur competitions for adults are cancelled as from Wednesday. Children up to 18 years may continue to train and play mutual matches with teams from their own club.

The new measures will apply from Wednesday October 14 at 10:00 PM. These rules make us take the following measures for our club (also in consultation with the Schaatshal and comparable with other ice hockey associations):

  • No seniors training and competitions from Wednesday 14 October at 10:00 PM
  • Training for youth up to 18 years (U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and youth recreation) can continue. The competitions will be stopped immediately. Mutual competitions within the club are allowed in these age categories.
  • The changing rooms and showers are closed.

The basic rules remain unchanged:

  • Always keep a distance of 1.5 meters.
  • Sneeze and cough into your elbow.
  • Wash your hands often with soap.
  • Everyone over 13 years old wears a mouth mask in the Skating Hall
  • Do you have any symptoms? Then stay at home!

The national measures apply from Wednesday October 14 at 10:00 PM and will in principle remain in force for 4 weeks. In the weeks to 27 October, the cabinet will assess what is needed for the period thereafter. There must be sufficient evidence of reduced number of infections and of the pressure on regular care before it can be said with certainty that the measures are effective and can therefore be reconsidered.

We keep an eye on developments. We will answer questions that arise among you as well as possible, but sometimes depend on the further (yet to be drawn up) protocols of other parties involved.
