Last weekend the Lions Youth Teams participated in the Theo Koperdraad tournament in Heerenveen. 8 teams from the Netherlands met in the Thialf ice rink, for a beautifully organized Ice Hockey event.
The result beat all the expectations: both the U9 and the U11 won the first place !! They encounter strong opponents who fought really hard to keep their net untouched but our little lions triumphed on this exiting contest.
For the older Lions of U13, participating for the first time in a full ice game, it was hard, they put their heart in battling on the ice, earning the 5th place.
These results gave a great push to start the new season, with strong motivation and energy…. looking forward !!
